Twitter I felt at first was going to be annoying and more of a hinderance, however, I have found that it can be informative and fun to see it used on a professional level: like in a classroom. I have found many other students and interactive with more of my classmates than if I was not using it. Also, I can understand the allure of following FSU sports teams, or any team, and being kept apprised of their progress and performance. I do think I will incorporate it into my regular social media routine.       The web design concept and practice was entirely new to me. The assignment in EME has given me a new appreciation for the programs and difficulties people use and experience when creating a webpage for themselves or a business. I find the work fascinating and unquietly challenging and rewarding. I feel like it would only be intensified if it was for my personal business, and not a class project.      Assistive and Adaptive technologies and advancements t...

School teacher website should be engaging and very informative. One could say interactive if you have the web design capabilities. They should be arranged in a pleasing and chromatic fashion. Separate tabs for students, parents, and alumni should be present. Many of the school websites I have found also have their upcoming events listed, as well as congratulations to certain winning sports teams.https://www.trinityknights.org/Page/568      I think I would use a pre-existing platform to create my school website, if I could not hire out the job to our technical specialist. I am not very website, or coding proficient, but I would have the basic principles of what constitutes a school website. Items like my contact info, when assignments are do, and extra curricular actives students could get involved in. I would also have a tab for the parents to monitor their child's progress in the classroom.      I enjoyed the virtual reality section ...

Diigo for me is kind of confusing with all the sensory overload and tons of articles to shift through. I have not fully mastered how to navigate through the program/site. I find it interesting to look at all the different groups one can join and interact with. I think it is a valuable site, but overwhelming in certain aspects.      Blogging has actually been a fun experience. I am still not sure I like the idea of having everyone being able to inspect and go over my notes and work, but the constant writing has been fun and uplifting. Sharing my opinions over the internet has never been an engaging activity for me, but doing it in a controlled environment like a class has been enlightening. I do not think that I will create my own blog, but I would be interested in looking over and reading others now that I have more information about what blogging is.      A WEB 2.0 tool that I think would be very beneficial when teaching would be the ...

Twitter is a new tool for me. I have always just used Facebook for my social media efforts. Even when Twitter first came out and everyone was excited about the new social media platform I still forwent using such a media tool. I was always cautious about my words being displayed for others. However, since my tenure in the EME class I have enjoyed the uses of Twitter, and understand the allure of staying connected with different media groups: such as FSU. I will continue to use it.      The digital divide in America is staggering. Many students do not have access to computer like many at FSU are generously presented with. Many homes in America do not even have a computer in the home. With the high prices of computers many students and people in American are adopting the uses of tablets and lesser technology devices rather than pay the high prices of computers. While the technological divide is lessening it is still important that we understand not ever...
