Blog #5
Diigo for me is kind of confusing with all the sensory overload and tons of articles to shift through. I have not fully mastered how to navigate through the program/site. I find it interesting to look at all the different groups one can join and interact with. I think it is a valuable site, but overwhelming in certain aspects.
Blogging has actually been a fun experience. I am still not sure I like the idea of having everyone being able to inspect and go over my notes and work, but the constant writing has been fun and uplifting. Sharing my opinions over the internet has never been an engaging activity for me, but doing it in a controlled environment like a class has been enlightening. I do not think that I will create my own blog, but I would be interested in looking over and reading others now that I have more information about what blogging is.
A WEB 2.0 tool that I think would be very beneficial when teaching would be the surveying tool. I think that being able to use this tool effectively would benefit both the students and the teacher with finding out crucial information about the student population. Surveys could be used for a wide variety of topics that would shed light on certain curriculum issues. It could improve the overall education of the student population and the dialogue between student and teacher.

Diigo is definitely not the most user-friendly tool in the world. However, it is a very powerful platform for collaborative knowledge sharing. Next time, we can explore it in class together, and maybe it will be a bit easier for you.
